Born on 08-05-1957 at Edayaranmula in Pathanamthitta district. Primary education at S.N.D.P.L.P.School, Edayaranmula, High School - A.M.M.H.S., Edayaranmula, Pre-Degree - Christian College, Chengannur, BA - St. Thomas College, Kozhanchery, LLB - Govt. Law College, Calicut, LLM - MG University, Kottayam. Enrolled as an Advocate on 11-7-1987. Started practice in the year 1987 at Pathanamthitta.

Member, District Council, Pathanamthitta (first District Council in Kerala), representing Aranmula Constituency in the year 1991 and Member, Library Council, Pathanamthitta in the year 1992. Legal Advisor of District Co-operativae Bank, Pathanamthitta, Land Mortgage Bank, Pathanamthitta and District Consumer Marketing Co-operative Society, Pathanamthitta.

Appointed as District and Sessions Judge in the year 1995. Served as MACT, Alappuzha and Tirur, II Addl. District Judge/Addl. MACT, Kollam, I Addl. District Judge/Addl. MACT, Kollam, II Addl. District Judge/Addl. MACT, Kollam, Addl. District Judge-II/MACT, Mavelikkara, Addl. District Judge-I, Mavelikkara, Addl. Secretary, Kerala Legislative Assembly, Thiruvananthapuram (2010 - 2012).
