MULLAPPALLI RAMACHANDRAN

Mullappally Ramachandran(born 7 November 1944) The union Minister of State for Home Affairs is the a member of the Parliament of India from the Vadakara constituency. He is the present Vice President of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. He was a member of the Parliament of India from Cannanore (Lok Sabha constituency) during 1984 to 1998. He won 5 consecutive elections with considerable majority against leaders of LDF like Kadnnapally Ramachandran, Patyam Rajan, A. C. Shanmughadas etc. He won the 2009 Lok Sabha election from the Vadakara constituency in Kerala, India by a margin of over 56,286 votes. Ramachandran was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs.He was a Minister of State to the Agriculture and Cooperation in the Ministry of P.V.Narasimha Rao. He defeated the sitting MP, Smt. Sathidevi and won the Loksabha election 2009 from Vadakara constituancy and now elevated to the ministry of Dr. Manmohan Singh.
